Build Your Own Granny Square Bag
How to make a Granny Square Bag of your own design
Finished Project: The granny square has endless possibilities and is something even a newer crocheter can have fun making. In this 2hr, 2 day workshop we will be diving into the vast pool of the many different kinds of granny squares, how to create them and then put them together to create your very own custom bag.
Skills Needed: Basic crochet Knowledge: ch, sc, dc (if you have never crocheted before please take our 4-part Intro to Crochet Class before signing up for this class)
Skills you will gain: Session 1: We will deep dive into all the many different Granny square designs and bag styles and pick one for your project. We will start and go over the different skills needed to create the square of your choice going over the stitches, how to read the pattern or chart etc. You will have homework to create all the squares needed for your bag.
Session 2: We will be taking the beautiful squares you made and will be learning the different ways of attaching the squares together to make your bag and add straps on. We will also talk through the steps of how to line your bags with fabric when they are all finished.
Supplies: Worsted Cotton Yarn, We Recommend Queensland Coastal Cotton, Berroco Remix or if you want it a bit lighter Cascade Anchor Bay. The amounts will vary depending on how large your bag is or how many colors you would like to use. Universal Uptown Worsted is another good choice
Hook US G 4mm, pen and paper, scissors, yarn needle
At least 1 skein of class yarn must be purchased from Fox River Fibers. All supplies purchased for the class will be 10% off. Printed and electronic pattern will be provided.

In-store pick-up orders should be ready for pick-up the day the store
is open after you place it. You will receive a confirmation email when
it has shipped or is ready for pickup. If you wish to pick-up an order
in store sooner, please call the store.

Items may be returned for in-store credit or exchange. Returns must
be in original condition as sold - unused with all labels and packaging
intact and undamaged. Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by
since your purchase, we unfortunately can’t offer you an in-store credit
or exchange – it’s yours, enjoy! Orders shipped internationally cannot
be returned. Books, patterns, needles, notions, kits, sale items,
discontinued items and wound yarn are not returnable.
