Intro to Rigid Heddle Weaving
This is a Beginner class- You need a willingness to learn
Rigid heddle weaving is an easily accessible style of weaving on a small loom designed for knit and crochet yarns. The loom is characterized by and named after its reeds, which contain rigid plastic or wooden heddles.
Rigid heddle looms also give weavers great flexibility in the style and types of fabric they weave.
Finished Project: Wool scarf using knitting yarns

Skills you will gain:
This class will introduce students to the indirect warping method and the techniques necessary to weave and finish their scarf.
Supplies:
Jay will supply the rigid heddle looms and accessories to be used during the class
Participants will need to purchase 2 skeins of DK weight yarn with at least 230 yards per skein from Fox River Fibers. Printed materials will be provided.

*Note: Participants may bring their own loom, but it MUST be a rigid heddle loom with 8 or 7.5 dent reeds.
Loom packages will be offered at 10% off the weekend of the class for participants. (Jay will talk about this during class)

will ship within 1-2 days of being placed. Most orders will ship USPS
unless expedited shipping is paid for at time of order. International
orders will ship via DHL. Standard USPS shipping is free on domestic
orders over $75, expedited shipping may be purchased at checkout.

In-store pick-up orders should be ready for pick-up the day the store
is open after you place it. You will receive a confirmation email when
it has shipped or is ready for pickup. If you wish to pick-up an order
in store sooner, please call the store.

Items may be returned for in-store credit or exchange. Returns must
be in original condition as sold - unused with all labels and packaging
intact and undamaged. Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by
since your purchase, we unfortunately can’t offer you an in-store credit
or exchange – it’s yours, enjoy! Orders shipped internationally cannot
be returned. Books, patterns, needles, notions, kits, sale items,
discontinued items and wound yarn are not returnable.
